Meghalaya is a state in the north east of India. The main tribes in Meghalaya are the Jaintias, the Khasis and the Garos. The Khasi and Jaintia people have their own popular dishes like Jadoh, Tung Rimbai, and pickled bamboo shoots. The Garos on the other hand have their dishes like rice cooked with Kapa, Sakkin Gata, Nakam and dry meat among others. People in meghayala rea goats, sheep, pigs and poultry and also relish their meat.
