Rhomesecret Recipe : Khoya Chenna Poda Pitha (orissa Dessert)
This recipe was first made at RHomeSecrets Renaissance. Its a delicious blend of cottage cheese and suji baked to perfection.
Khoya - 1 cup
Cottage cheese - 2 cups (Chenna)
Sugar -1 cup
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Kismis - 12 nos
Cashew nuts 12 nos
Cardamom powder 1 tsp
Suji - 1tbs
Take fresh Chenna and knead it till smooth. In some cases depending on the chenna quality it may take time. But after kneading it will reach a smooth texture .
Now add khoya , sugar , suji and ghee one by one and knead the mixture gently
Pour the batter in a greased Banana leaf kept in baking dish and decorate the cashew nuts
Cover it with another Banana leaf and now bake in pre-heated oven for about half an hour to 45 mins
Take it out & serve hot or cold
