Misti Doi (sweet Curd)

Misti doi is a Bengali sweet dish recipe. The doi or curd is made with Jaggery and hence it gets a unique flavour. Many people and kids specially do not like the smell of curd but in this recipe since the jaggery is added, it not only enhances the taste and flavour but enhances its nutritional value also.

Milk - 1 litre
Nolen gur (jaggery ) - 10 grams
Curd - 2 tablespoon
Boil the milk in a wide pan until it reduces to half.
Add the jaggery and stir till it gets dissolved completely. Put the gas off and keep the milk aside.
Once the milk is lukewarm add the curd and stir throughly. Put a lid on and wrap a cloth around the container. Leave the milk for at least 8 hours to settle. Keep it in refrigerator before serving.
