Chikolya Is a Maharshtrian dish very similar to Gujrati dish Dal Dhokali ! Very Healthy Dish where Whole Wheat Flour pieces are added to Toor Dal & cooked.

Ingredients: 
Whole Wheat Flour Dough
Toor dal-1/2 cup washed and boiled
Finely chopped Tomato - 1 medium sized
Jeera (Cumin seeds) – 1/2 teaspoon
Rai (Mustard Seeds) - 1/2 teaspoon
Haldi (Turmeric powder) 1/2 teaspoon
Chilli powder- 1/2 Teaspoon
Hing (Asafoetida) – a pinch
Green chillies – 2-3 Pieces slit
Garlic paste- 1teaspoon
Tamarind pulp - 2 tablespoon
Jaggary Powder - 1-2 tablespoon
Cilantro 9 Coriander leaves) - chopped 3-4 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Directions: 
Boil Toor Dal. In the meantime divide the wheat dough into equal sized balls. Roll each ball and then cut it into thin strips keep aside.
Heat Oil in Kadai. Add Rai, Jeera, Garlic Paste, hing & green chillies. Saute for few seconds.
Add finely chopped tomatoes. Fry till tomatoes are soft.
Add turmeric powder & chilli powder. Fry till the masala leaves Oil from sides.
Then add the Boiled Toor Dal and the wheat strips, Mix well and cook for 10 - 12 mintues.
Add Tamarind Pulp & jaggery. Bring to Boil.
Serve Hot
Footnotes: 
Moong Dal Can also be used instead of Toor Dal.
