Jeera Rice (cumin Flavored Basmati Rice)

A simple rice recipe that requires very few ingredients and can be complimented with any side dish.

Ingredients: 
Basmati rice - 1 cup (soaked in water for two hours)
Zeera (cumin seeds) - 1 tablespoon
Onion - 1 piece - finely chopped)
Ghee - 2 tablespoon
Salt - 1/2 tablespoon
Directions: 
METHOD 1
Wash the rice thoroughly and then boil it for 10 minutes or till it is half done.
Heat ghee in a karahi and add chopped onions. Fry till they become golden brown. Add the zeera and fry till the aroma starts coming out.
Pour the tampering over the half cooked rice. Add 1 cup of water and salt and mix well. Cook with the lid on till the rice is done.
This will take another 10 minutes or so.
Serve hot with any curry
METHOD 2
Cook the rice completely drain water, Let it cool down or place it in the freezer for half an hour or so.
Heat Ghee in a pan, Add shahi Jeera and let it splutter, add onions (optional) and saute.
Add the cooled down rice, Add Salt and mix well.
Also add 2 tbsp of chopped coriander. cook for a min more on low heat and Serve hot.
Footnotes: 
You can add a tbsp of butter at the end to enhance the taste
